- These systems are intended to improve the monitoring of vegetation areas affected by grasshoppers in Mato Grosso, which were already being studied based on data provided by the LANDSAT satellite.
- Environmental planning and management based on an extensive spatial database.
- The occupation of these lands presents great time-space diversity: agriculture, pastures, reforestation, natural vegetation, urbanization, mining etc, each with its own specific characteristics and dynamics.
- See image mosaics of all Brazilian states, taken by the LANDSAT satellite.
- Embrapa Satellite Monitoring in LBA
- The Vegetation sensor, in orbit on board the European satellite Spot IV, brougth some novelties in terms of orbital monitoring, which can be very useful for measuring the agricultural productivity and for identifying the original and actual vegetation boundaries for biomes in Brazil, even though the landscape has already been dramatically changed.
- Access the huge database of local, regional and national maps and information.
- Embrapa Satellite Monitoring has been following the occupation dynamics on the agricultural frontiers of Rondônia for over 20 years.

| - This environmental protection area (APA) was created to protect local ecosystems and many natural riches from the impact of human interaction in the Municipality of Descalvado. The objective of this initiative was to promote a seamless integration between the production activities within the area and the nature conservation, aiming at the sustainable use of natural resources and offering better living conditions for local inhabitants.
- The name of the Environmental Protection Area of Capivari-Monos is borrowed from those two rivers with crystalline water, still very clean, located south of the Municipality of São Paulo. They are considered strategic springs for future water supply of the São Paulo Metropolitan Area.
- A detailed radiography of the Demene River Basin, located in the Amazon, is presented as news reports, pictures and an e-book.
- Evaluation of the environmental impact and of the sustainable agriculture of the municipality.
- Hundreds of maps were already created, and this number can virtually increase into thousands. As an example, we present some of the information plans available at Embrapa Satellite Monitoring for all states of Northeastern Brazil.
- A lost paradise, depicted by pictures, maps and landscape characterization.
- The experimental objective of this proposal was to evaluate the potential use of images from the SPOT4/VEGETATION sensor, in the Brazilian territory.
- The general objective of this website was to evaluate the occurrence of severe respiratory diseases in specific locations in the State of São Paulo, as well as the eventual correlation between them and local environmental changes.
- The environmental protection area (APA) of Sousas and Joaquim Egídio represents the most preserved area within the municipality of Campinas, housing the majority of the natural vegetation remnants, as well as a great diversity of sylvan flora and fauna.
- Comparative study between two rural seating projects in Amazon.
- Joint research projects on Operational Ecology, aiming at the development of biomodelling, data handling and deployment of proper logistics in the field of environmental monitoring of agricultural activities, as well as in the area of spatial applications for agriculture.
- Mosaics of satellite imagery to support the Peace Mission of UN.
- Holambra in WebGIS
- Satellites help researchers to get more details about the grasshopper from Mato Grosso.
- Embrapa Satellite Monitoring supported this project, which presents and discusses the potential and limitations of using supervised segmentation and image classification of Landsat-TM products for land use mapping.
