Treatment of Numerical Data

Data treatment is carried out via microcomputers, usting the logistical data bases DBase III Plus and MS-Access for the imput, processing, and edition of reports.

The base statistics, which allow for data critique and analysis, are carried out through SAS, SOC and MS-Access.  Quantitative data calculations include the average, shunting line standar, variance, sum of squares, minimum and maximum values, amplitude, and the coefficient of variance.  Standard archives are edited for the digital manipulation of data through logical rules with algebraic boolean operations, establishing, in the case of continual variables, discrete classes.  The qualitative variables of absolute frequencies are analyzed in relative and accumulative terms.  The results obtained are grouped into tables in order to allow for a better visualization of the behavior of various variables as published in periodic reports.

All numerical data related to each one of the properties receives a "label" or identification code which allows for the spacialization of the information and its integration into the cartographic data base.
