SEGMENTATION & CLASSIFICATION OF LANDSAT-TM IMAGES FOR THE MAPPING OF LAND USE


The Nucleus of Environmental Monitoring, the  Brasilian Agency for Agricultural Research (Embrapa Environmental Monitoring Center), supported the foundation of  this research in order to allow for the presentation and discussion of the potential and limitations to the segmentation and supervised classification of Landsat-TM satellite images for mapping land uses.
